The 19th ELEA Symposium, held at the College of Europe on 13 April 2023, dealt with the application of sustainability and environmental considerations in competition analysis and asked whether this is a path to explore. Vicky Robertson held the keynote with the topic of “Competition Law: Green & Digital?”. She highlighted the challenges that the twin transition to an economy that is both green and digital poses for EU competition law, focusing on our conceptual understanding of the green and digital transition, the goals of EU competition law and a possible adaptation of theories of harm.
